250 Commerce SW - Wall-Breaking

Wall-Breaking Ceremony held on July 1, 2007

The Wall-Breaking Ceremony for 250 Commerce was held on July 1, 2007, at 11:30. The congregation gathered at 250 Commerce in the area that will be the narthax of their structure. A short liturgy (click here to read liturgy) was celebrated with members of the congregation, the architecture and design team, the construction crew, the realtor, and the property manager taking turns at "tearing down the wall". Hard hats and sledge hammers were provided and the wall was pretty well destroyed by the time the liturgy had ended.

This is the wall that will be broken down for our "Wall-Breaking Ceremony". We are standing in the Narthax and looking through the opening to where the elevator and stairs open.
