Mission Trip to Mississippi (5)
January 16
COLD! It only made it into the 40's and it was chilly. Our work group is working in a house with no heat and no windows (until the end of the day when over half of the windows had been installed). So layers were worn by everyone. Teri ended up with 1 shirt, 2 sweatshirts and a heavy coat! But work was accomplished and we were able to warm up during lunch by sitting in the van and running the heat at full blast. Below are more pictures of the same work group but on day 2.

The following pictures show the same work group as yesterday.

Cutting the wood so we can install windows. We make do with the supplies we have so here we are cutting down the width so it will fit.

Putting the windows in. We had a great team of workers who sized the window openings and got those windows in.

We finished the floor in the master bedroom and then found some bad boards in the hallway. So we removed the bad boards and replaced with good wood. Trying to keep the dirt out of the hole was a never ending job.

Insulation continued today and was finally finished. We cut it close - only had a few inches left when we were done.

Yesterday they scraped on the house. Today they removed the rotten boards. And though you can't tell in this picture it was raining out besides being so cold.
