Mission Trip to Mississippi (2)

We aren’t alone here at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs. In fact our 27 people are just a small part of the more than 4000 others who have come from across our country to help in the relief effort.

Here are a few of the others who were here while we’ve been here on this trip:

Why?: The most important thing is just to do what is needed.

John
From: Pennsylvania
How Long: 2 weeks (so far)
Group/Alone: Alone
Why?: Because others helped his family in a flood when he was 8 years old.

Lois & Angela
From: Rochester, NY
How Long: 2 weeks
Group/Alone: Together
Why?: They are both Doctors who are here to volunteer time in the clinics.

Dr. Valerie L.
From: Baltimore, MD
How Long: 2 weeks
Group/Alone: Alone
Why?: To serve as a Psychologist at the clinics

From: Charlotte, NC & Potomic, MD

Why?: To serve others in need..

How Long: 1 week

Why?: Working to heal the Community of Christ

From: Charlotte, NC

Why?: Because she is needed. (Sue is currently running the churches emergency distribution center.
