Mission Trip to Mississippi

November 2

Johanna says, "There is a certain smell produced by seawater and its two-month confinement in people's homes. Andrew, who's workig in a house with water up to the roof told me, you'll know that smell when you smell it. Today was my day of reckoning. Yes--I know that smell. And I never want to smell it again."

One bedroom in the four bedroom house crew #2 cleaned and gutted

Four Houses in Biloxi area where both crews worked today.

Biloxi was among the hardest hit cities in the area. As Glen in Crew #2 states,"Going to North Biloxi was a rewarding and eye opening experience. The owner was so apreciative of our efforts. Knowing that people were killed in his neighborhod made me value life more than I did before the experience."

The heap at the end of the day. Crews are instructed to leave throw out material no more than 8 feet from the curb.
